Two-way firewall
Inbound and outbound rules per application, per network profile and per user group. Default-deny on unsolicited inbound connections.
Endpoint protection looks at files. Network defense looks at connections. Together they cover the two ways trouble actually arrives. We configure two-way firewalls, intrusion prevention and safe-network protection so business traffic keeps flowing and everything else is dropped.
When security software is installed and never configured, it usually runs with the manufacturer's generic policy. That policy is designed to work everywhere, which means it is optimised for nowhere in particular. Inbound rules may be looser than you want, application permissions may be broader than necessary, and inspection may be skipped for exactly the traffic you care about.
We take the generic baseline and turn it into your policy — one that reflects how your business actually uses the network.
Inbound and outbound rules per application, per network profile and per user group. Default-deny on unsolicited inbound connections.
Signature and behaviour-based detection of exploit attempts at the network layer, with alerting routed to your security mailbox.
Automatic policy switching when a device joins an untrusted network — stricter rules for cafés, hotels and conference Wi-Fi.
Scoped inspection of TLS sessions with a documented exclusion list for banking, medical and certificate-pinned services.
Separate rule sets for office, home and public networks, so a device behaves correctly wherever it lands.
Blocked-connection logs, scheduled reports and threshold alerts delivered to whoever owns security in your organisation.
We list the applications and services your teams depend on — cloud platforms, VoIP, remote access, line-of-business systems — and note which require inbound connections.
Allow rules are written explicitly. Everything unsolicited inbound is denied by default, and outbound rules are applied where they add real value.
Encrypted-traffic inspection is enabled with a documented exclusion list agreed with you in advance.
Office, home and public network profiles are pushed to the right device groups, then verified.
We review blocked-connection logs with you and adjust any rule that is catching legitimate traffic.
Most clients pair network defense with endpoint protection on the same license tier. We will tell you honestly if a combined suite is cheaper for your seat count than buying layers separately.
What IT managers usually want to know before agreeing to a firewall change.
Antivirus examines files and running processes on a device. Network defense examines the connections themselves — which applications are allowed to talk to the internet, which inbound attempts are refused, and whether traffic inside encrypted sessions matches known malicious patterns. Most mature deployments run both, because they catch different things.
Only if it is configured blindly. We build application rules for the tools you actually use — cloud storage sync clients, VoIP, remote desktop, ERP connections, developer package managers — before rolling out to the wider estate. Anything unexpected is reviewed with you rather than silently blocked.
There is some overhead, which is why we scope it. Encrypted-traffic inspection is applied where it earns its keep and excluded for banking portals, medical systems, certificate-pinned applications and anything where inspection causes errors. You get the list of exclusions in writing.
It is one of the main reasons clients choose it. Public Wi-Fi in hotels, airports and co-working spaces is where untrusted networks meet corporate data. Safe-network protection checks the connection before it is trusted and applies a stricter rule set when it is not.
Yes. Firewall rules, intrusion prevention settings and network policies are pushed from the management console to every enrolled device. Change a rule once and it applies estate-wide, with a report showing which devices acknowledged it.
We do, and we recommend it. Perimeter hardware and per-device network defense are complementary layers. We will not ask you to replace working infrastructure — we configure the device-level policies to fit alongside what you already run.
Contact your assigned specialist. Blocking events are logged with the application, destination and rule that fired, so we can identify the cause and add a scoped exception the same day in most cases.
Still unsure which configuration fits your environment? Ask a specialist directly or call +1 (866) 674-9974.
We map your traffic, write the rules explicitly and document every exclusion before anything is deployed.
