Assurance · License Verification

Every key we issue can be checked, traced and defended

Cheap keys that fail activation six months later are the reason this page exists. Here is exactly how we source licenses, how you can verify one yourself, and what documentation you receive with every purchase.

Our sourcing standard

We purchase exclusively through authorized distribution channels. That single decision costs us margin and buys you something worth more: a key that activates on the manufacturer's own servers, a purchase record you can produce during an audit, and a valid replacement claim if anything ever goes wrong.

We do not trade in grey-market volume keys, region-locked stock or academic licenses being used commercially. If a price looks too good to be true somewhere else, it almost always is — and the failure usually surfaces at renewal, not at checkout.

Written assurance on request

Ask your specialist for a license provenance statement. We will confirm in writing where the keys in your order were sourced and what your replacement entitlement is.

How to verify a license yourself

  1. Activate through official channels only

Enter the key in the software itself or on the publisher’s own account portal. Never activate through a link emailed by a third party or a "verification" site you found in search results.

  2. Check the account, not just the device

A genuine business license appears in the publisher's management console with your organisation name, seat count and term dates. Device-level activation alone proves less than the console does.

  3. Confirm the term dates match your order

Compare the expiry shown in the console with the term on your invoice. A mismatch is the earliest and most reliable warning sign.

  4. Confirm the license type matches your use

Consumer, business, academic and non-profit licenses carry different rights. Using the wrong type commercially can invalidate your entitlement regardless of whether it activated.

  5. Keep the paperwork together

Invoice, license certificate and activation confirmation, filed in one place. That bundle is what an auditor, insurer or the publisher will ask for.

Warning signs in a license offer

Price far below market

A business license at a fraction of the standard channel price is nearly always a resold volume or regional key. It may work today and fail at the next validation.

No invoice, or an invoice with no company details

If the seller cannot produce a proper tax invoice naming your organisation, you have no proof of purchase and no route to a replacement.

Activation via a third-party portal

Genuine products activate on the publisher's servers. A reseller-hosted activation page is a strong signal that the key is not a standard retail or business license.

"Lifetime" claims on subscription software

Most modern security products are subscription-based by design. A lifetime claim on one is a contradiction worth questioning before you pay.

Answers, not jargon

License verification, answered plainly

How to check a key, what paperwork to expect, and what the red flags look like.

How do I know a license is genuine before I pay?

Ask three questions. Where was the key sourced — an authorized distributor, or an unknown marketplace? Can the seller show a purchase record for the license pool? Does activation happen on the manufacturer’s own servers, or through a third-party portal? We answer all three in writing before you commit.

What documentation do I receive with a purchase?

A license certificate showing the product, seat count, term start and end dates, the issuing reseller and your order reference. Business purchases also receive activation confirmation per device and a deployment summary. These are the documents auditors and cyber insurers ask for.

Why are some licenses sold online dramatically cheaper?

Usually because they are not what they appear to be: volume keys intended for a single organisation being resold individually, keys tied to a region they are not valid in, academic or non-profit keys used commercially, or keys already redeemed elsewhere. They often activate successfully at first and fail at the next validation check.

Can you verify a license I already bought elsewhere?

We can review the activation status, the term dates shown in the account or console, and whether the license type matches how you are using it. If we find a problem we will tell you plainly, including if the answer is that the license is fine and you do not need anything from us.

What happens if a license fails after purchase?

Contact us and we replace or reissue it. Because we buy through authorized channels, we hold a valid claim against the distributor and can resolve it without asking you to wait for a refund cycle. Our refund policy sets out the terms in full.

Are licenses transferable to new hardware?

Generally yes, within the terms of the agreement. Deactivating on the old device and reactivating on the replacement is a normal operation and we will do it with you. Transfers between separate organisations are a different matter and depend on the license type.

Do you store our license keys?

We keep the purchase record and seat allocation against your account so renewals and replacements are straightforward. We do not store payment card details — those are handled by our PCI-compliant payment providers. See our Privacy Policy for the full data handling statement.

Need a license verified, replaced or renewed?

We confirm the position in writing — including when the honest answer is that nothing needs to change.
